Our vision is for The Salvation Army to become a hub of activity for the community, which is why we have transformed part of our building space into the Prince George Community Kitchen!
Aligned with our mission, our hope is to support community members while strengthening local food resilience and economic sustainability.
Our fully licensed, commercial kitchen is equipped and ready to meet a variety of commercial cooking and food-production needs. Â Whether you are an established food business or an aspiring entrepreneur, our kitchen provides a welcoming, accessible space to help bring your ideas to life.
We also provide mentorship and support for new and existing entrepreneurs.Â
Depending on desired usage and equipment needs, the kitchen can host up to 20 people.

Who can book the Community Kitchen?
Anyone and everyone, for a cost.Â
What is the cost?
Everyone must provide a $500 damage deposit at time of booking*.
Costs range from $55-$100/hr. Exact pricing will be evaluated based on need, time slots requested, single use or multi use bookings and organizational status (for profit, non profit, etc).Â
Additional costs may include dry and cold storage.Â
*If the kitchen is not left in the same condition as you found it, an additional cleaning cost may be levied against your damage deposit.
What insurance coverage is needed?
Yes, you will be required to maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with a minimum limit of $2,000,000 per occurrence, with The Salvation Army Prince George being named as an additional insured.
A copy of the Certificate of Insurance shall be provided to The Salvation Army at least 5 business days before usage.Â
What days and times are available?
All day, everyday!
The kitchen has it’s own external access and is available for booking for a minimum of 2 hours, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.Â
Subsequent time shall be booked in hourly increments.Â
