" On May 21, as part of a small contingent of incredible volunteers from Team Rubicon Canada, I had the opportunity to work with the terrific people from The Salvation Army here in Prince George. The task was to load pallets of food bound for Food Banks in communities in Northern, BC.
This involved loading each pallet with a variety of food items from canned fish, cereals, and other dry food items to sundries such as tooth paste, lotions and deodorants. Both teams worked will together for a most important cause as the demand from food banks has increased during the recent pandemic.
Being able to contribute to my local and neighbouring communities offers me the chance to be connected with my community but also a sense of pride in being able to contribute to those in need. It is a privilege to be part of such a great organization as Team Rubicon Canada and to be able to support The Salvation Army." - Jim
